I have one question for you !

Is the date 16.6.37 legit for Honor rings ?

Aditional question !

Are the dates on the papers isued by H.H to Honor ring recipient the same dates as when the ring was acualy recived by SS officer ?

Thank you !

Hello, and welcome to the forum..
The dates on the award docs are different than what engraved in the ring..

As far as the ring,,no, that is not a good known date to be in a ring.. But,,with early rings some like to think there could be a unorthodox date.. Do you own such a ring? Its free to post photos. I think the kb limit is 100.. If you'd like post some photos as they usually tell all!

Gaspare-
It sound as if you may not be a fan of these non-typical dated rings.
I was interested to know your thoughts on these if possible.
Have you ever examined a example with non-typical date that looked to be original otherwise?
Thanks for your take on this.

Non textbook items, whatever they may be are always a hard sell as to originallity.

Dean,, I'm not a believer in non standard dates. It could only happen on a early pattern. So far those early pattern examples I've seen with non standard dates have all turned out to be fake..

There is some well known period correspondence wherein H.H. complains that was rendered some HR-docs with a date not corresponding with HIS ACTUAL date of signing and he announced disciplinary measurements for this.
Period HR-docs usually are dated days and even weeks before those well known award dates.
So if the (period) doc is dated 16.6.37 the "ring-date" (official date of real award) most certainly (for me personally absolute certainly) was the 21.6.1937.

I noticed that the writing style of new member SSpolice is very similar to the notorious Matthias Fritz, who has a similar MO of joining forums under new names and posting his crap until discovered. Most good site administrators keep a record of his range of IP addresses and don't let the crook register.
