160309849387 just sold on ebay and I have been trying to decide what is wrong with this dagger other than the emblem missing. It has what appears as correct stamped mark, short acorn, smooth back on clam shell, detailed fittings, and on and on. Seems to meet all the requirements in Houston`s guide. But, what am i missing Houston? Thanks, James

I guess what you missed--was the boat-- and a VERY big one. This was a very nice original dagger. I can't believe you did that.

What a miss that was.The hanger alone was worth a couple 0f dollars wish I had one for mine.Don't know how available the grip emblem is but it shows there are still items on e-bay.

i was on it for most of the time and got pipped at the end - mainly due to the time difference. Mad

TJ has a grip emblem for $95 in stock, although it is only the single attaching pin variety.

Somebody got a real bargain, it looks to be in great condition.
Most makers used a grip emblem with 2 prongs though on Alcoso's at certain times they used a single prong variety. The emblems that TJ has are a good filler in my opinion until a 2 prong variety comes along.
