Hey Guys, Sorry I am computer - dumb and unable to attach a link to the listing but if I am guessing correctly I see an SS Ground Rohm Blade on ebay. Take a look and see what you think.

Not the one I saw - go to collectibles category and type in German Dagger. It is on the first or second page. It is a blade that someone put a funky grip on.

The blade looks real. I ground rohm by Boker. The handle is crap.

Yep - that's the one. Thanks Ruski. I didn't realize it had already been posted here before. If the aluminum could be gently cut and melted away what price would be fair? The photos in the listing are not great but in one you can see there is pretty decent crossgraining near the blade bottom.

Hmmm... I don't like the blade to crossguard fit. I think 1/4 inch is a wee bit too much. One hell of a fixer-upper.

This is the rare seldom encountered Mongolian version of the Rohm Dagger.

You are in !! Nice shot of the Ground Dedication side. I must admit I am a little jealous. I was really thinking of bidding on it. But not being sure of how easily or well the handle could be removed, I was reluctant to bid.
You have a really nice blade obtained at what is probably the best price in years for what it is!
Congrats Again!

No amount of heat was going to remove the handle. Inside was a American size square nut on the thread. It took a machine shop, A Dremmel tool, Dental pick and a some hours to remove.

Well, Look at it this way, you have a Boker SS Ground Rohm with probably the best preserved tang in the world!
Congrats Again!

Actually Mike, The Machine Shop hit the tang on the other side. For this he didn't charge me for removing the bulk of aluminum. Even professionals can make mistakes. He had over thirty years experience as a machinist and was shown what to expect inside the aluminum. Still very happy with the outcome.
