So Gary gets divorced. His wife left a bunch of stuff in the basement and amongst all the junk he finds this dagger. He doesn't know where she got it from so the story is lost to history.

He apologizes because there is "some kind of sharpening" on one side of the blade.

The basement must have been very damp as the scabbard is trashed and will need some work. It did the job though as the blade was protected well.

I wasn't aware I had any fans. Nah, everybody knows that there isn't anything good on Eban. Okay, you caught me. There's more to the story. So he puts it up on Eban with eagle and swastika in plain view. It's listed as "SA Dagger" so there's no possibility of getting past the Eban police. There it sits for the full seven days with hardly any hits. Only two other bidders the entire time.

Yeah. I had a sniper bid on it but you beat me by ten bucks. I guess that's karmic payback for the Haenel I stole out from under you a few months ago. :-p

Well done RevYJ, those types of auctions are always good to win.
Can you show any square on, close up pictures of the inscription down the blade?
Is there a benchmark underneath the lower crossguard?
Any plans of taking it down, if so, can you show what the inside crossguard markings are, along with the tang mark, (if any).
I have a name only Eickhorn Rohm and am interested to see how it compares to yours.
Cheers, Scott

No benchmark on this one. I've got the additional photos you requested but the site isn't allowing any uploads right now. Will try again later.

Is that a small, "o", on the tang I can see? I can't see any tang marks on mine.
My crossguards are internally marked, "H" and "E".

Here's a nice little detail. Not only was he not very thorough in removing the inscription, but he wasn't very careful either. There are multiple file marks on the crossguard. Must have made a stop at the beer hall earlier. Don't drink and file.
