Hello to all,
I am the historian of an old WW2 Airfieled at Sandhofen /Mannheim Germany. I have written books ect about it and I am also collecting WW2 relicts. A few days ago I purched the following Feldgendarmerie gorget. It is in very good shape and came from a US Vet who took it home back then. He says it is 100% original, but I thought lets get a second opinion ( since it is not that cheap!)
I checked it for stamps and found on on of the "hooks" the stamp

The back is black and the material is glued to it with a kind of browinsh glue.
The paint is still good and it illuminates in the dark.
The whole assembly is light, i guess alluminium.
Would the experts here please let me know their opinion if this is a real one or just a good fake?
