A few thoughts on this.

Could this be a post WW1 marking ?

Generally Imperial unit marking used "." as the separator.

Weimar military markings generally used "/" as the separator.

Could also be police I suppose.

Weimar unit marks are marked in this style if so it's incomplete.

The 12/7 is a provisional mark, or possibly a Stab (staff) mark indicating 12th Company/ 7th Infantry Regiment. More probably a provisional mark since "Staff" pistols don't seem to have been issued in the Reichswehr.

I would also add that the absense of the 1920 property mark might be due to the fact that this pistol was actively being used in combat against the Poles on the Eastern Frontier around Breslau. And could not be returned to be property marked.

Infanteriefhrer III: Potsdam
7. Infanterieregiment: Schweidnitz (Stab, 13. Kp. Ausbildungs-Btl)
Oppeln I. Btl (2 Kp in Neisse)
Hirschberg II. Btl (2 Kp in Glatz)
Breslau III. Btl
