Reproduction,, ,,,the "W" is too large and the "O" to narrow to be an original,,other differences, more subtle, but these two mentioned above are the most noticeable on these,,,a lot of these type shields show up on Eban for sale,,,robert

Aleks, there are many who will say this is a very good reproduction..I would agree and I look for a larger A , a little taller than the rest of the letters Maybe a interesting story: A few years ago a member of this site from England bought this exact shield from a big dealer in England.. All on the forum said its not good. He checked other places and was told the same thing. He paid a lot for it and wanted his money back from the dealer. The dealer told him to hit the road...The member being mad took the dealer to court.. Showed all types of expert evidence, period photos, reference book evidence.. The dealer just said there's no proof this wasn't made during the war. That it looks super close to what everyone says is a 'good' one. The material is the same, the colors the same, size same, etc. That maybe the 'tall' letter A is just an abnormality, or this one is just a variant.. End result. The member lost the case and got stuck with a very exspensive fake....
Forget about Dealers CoAs, and return policies. Study intensely what your about to buy.
