Many early HJ's had thin, no ricasso blades with often beautiful, non RZM, makers marks.

All of these early knifes beared the motto and are very sought after by collectors.

Let's learn about the many variations that exist!

Show your thin, no ricasso HJ's!

Best greetings,

Herman

wotan:

That TM is neat. I wonder how many were made with this mark and for how little time it was used. I think the answer will be that it was used for only weeks or a few months.

JohnZ I am no specialized HJknife collector but as stated, I nowhere (in real or in the net) have seen this certain trademark on a HJknife. I am also wondering because the knife has recognizable large checkering of the grip plates compared especially to other early manufacturers which had extremely fine checkering at these early times. BTW this PACK has also an early "anodized" (blued) scabbard.
Do you know more about it, have you ever seen this certain mark before?
Regards,

Wotan:

I, too, am not a specialized HJ collector. I am more of an Eickhorn TM collector and have several Eickhorn marked HJs, including an early single oval... which probably corresponds to this early Pack, except that the Pack seems much more rare. I have seen a couple of examples of the early Eickhorn, but never seen this Pack TM.

I have seen several Pack marks on my etched bayos, but, again, none that look like this one.

I know that DD Harris is a Pack collector. Maybe, he or any other Pack guys can give us more info on this?

I am back from my holidays and it is a real pleasure to find more rare and beautiful no ricasso HJ's in this thread!

Here is an Arthur Schüttelhöfer, as you know this firm later became specialised in HJ knifes and produced most knifes of all makers during the later RZM period.

Best greetings,

Herman

sweezz, I think there was somebody quite fast as I could not look at this certain knife on d.d.h´s site even yesterday Wink.
Do you have saved pics and do you remember the price (possibly per pm)?
