Hi there,

Just picked up this DD Heer Toy Helmet, always fancied one. How rare are they these days with double decals? Other ones I've seen have had paper liners, this has what looks like a miniature M16 liner, good chunky chinstrap as well. What value do these normally reach?

Hi Lenny,

That's a cool little piece. Unfortunately they tended to dent fairly easily being made out of a cheap tin-like metal. And of course, the kids played with them so condition isn't always the best. However, yours seems to be a nice one and I would suggest a value of about $400 US, give or take.

I remember seeing a black SS toy helmet years ago (1997?) on eBay that slipped through my hands. I should have bid more aggressively. Oh well.

Thanks for that Darryl, most of the others i've seen were well used, as you say, kids played with them. Never seen a leather liner before though.

Now an SS blackie toy helmet, that WOULD be nice...
