Hi Gustavo Congrats on the score. I saw this for sale on Tom's site and started to investigate it just before it disappeared. Glad it ended up in the hands of someone who enjoys the research process and appreciates breathing life into these objects. Regards, Ross Kelbaugh www.ssdaggers.com

Great dagger Gus, and an interesting research project for you. Just goes to show that persistence can pay off!

Well done Gustavo. I know, only so well, what it takes to research items. It all started with me in the early 1970s when I established the SS Officer's Research Service as I was the first one to use the SS Dienstaltersliste and the computer for ID of SS Officer numbers. All too often, the collector fails to recognize the amount of effort required and the value of identification that makes the item come alive for the rest of us. Ron Weinand Weinand Militaria
