founded 1867 registered in 1885 and liquidated in 1966 (sword and bayonet makers book has many wrong dates.) earliest swords were made in 1870s. Damascus blades were not made in house.
A good book that is now out of print is (The sword and knife makers of Germany 1850-2000)
Anthony Carter. this series is not complete m-z has not been printed , Anthony has passed.

Sorry sounded like a smart a@@
Anthony Carter acquired the publishing rights to John Walters book (THE SWORD AND BAYONETS OF IMPERIAL GERMANY 1871-1918) He spent 4 years of further research on trademarks etc... Before coming out with this book(THE SWORD AND KNIFE MAKERS OF GERMANY 1850-2000). A collector buddy of mine in Germany who owns Hubertus also worked on this book in Solingen. (this is all in the forwrd part of the book)
I have thousands of dollars of orginal Solingen catalogs, factory files and orginal pre 1950s Solingen trade history books.
Knowledge is power. Walters book was just a taste..
