Hi from what i can see the scabbard looks origional but more pix of the knife is needed to confirm authenticity as it could be a post war made hj knife......regards scott.

Could be a early post-war knife made with original parts. Do you have a close up photo of the grip diamond?

no, sorry, when I found out it was no good I told the seller I was not interested in it. He did send other photos but not of the diamond

Even if no Germany on the blade (which makes it a definite post war production) - when you look at the scabbard - there is no sign of use usually found on HJs - nothing on the Pin and the clip (which btw. should be dark brown - not black).

I think it is safe to say it was made in
post war Germany to war time specs.
I see replacement diamond is secured by tape.
I would give $50 for it.

maybe this was made for GIs in the early postwar years, like a lot of stuff was.


save up for a pre-45 one instead - there are plenty available.

Definately Post War Scouts knife, stamped Germany for export reasons.The diamond is a repo being held in place with tape and most likely has no attaching prongs. Like David mentioned save for a real one and look here first.
