I just picked this NCO sword up today by E.F Horster. It has nice etching with a panel that reads Reiter-Regiment Ludwigslust. I am not familiar with this unit. Does anyone have any info on the Reg? Thanks

Without seeing the rest of the sword Im assuming that its a plain P guard, which would have been for a private up through junior grade NCO. A Weimar era Reichswehr formation: 14. Reiter-Regiment in Ludwigslust (Preuisch-Mecklenburgisches) was part of the 3. Kavallerie Division. In 1936 it became Kavallerie-Regiment 14. I hope this helps. FP
