Hi, I have a very nice German dagger There are no marks or stamps on the blade. It is in very good condition! But is it a real and genuine one? Please can you people help me out with this one? See detailed pics on http://foto.telenet.be/0721844691

first impressions are not good i`m afraid. i`m always hesitant on photographs, but the ferrule looks wrong, the casting detail on the pommel is poor, the top of the grip looks like it doesn`t fit and the scabbard looks poor.
i may be wrong, and i`ll wait , like you, to hear from other more experienced forum members.
but if i was offered that dagger , i`d pass.

It looks like a hand enhanced Heller or E-Pack crossguard, any chance of a frontal close up......of the eagle . It has a wierd looking tang and was possibly shaped for a new grip.
