Does anyone know what the PROPER Colonial Schutztruppen Officer's Portepee and NCO's troddeln looks like??
Here's to those who make what we collect worth collecting.

Nate,
I believe the Schutztruppen Officer Portepee was silver/gilt with red/white/black highlights. The Kolonialamt was a national (rather than Prussian or Bavarian, etc) organization and utilized the Nationale colors like the Navy knots.
The Schutztruppen NCO Troddel was similarly white cotton with red & black stripes echoing the Imperial nature of these troops. Color illustrations in "Uniformen der Marine und Schutztruppen" show these knots in wear by German and some native troops.
