Hi out there!
Maybe this is something for you to put your bid on: some very original camouflage clothes from the Combat-SS! The seller says in the offer that these items had been found in the attic of an old farmhouse in the bavarian forest!
This is just amazing! The boys must have put cicilian clothes on in that house and the farmer had obviously no way to use them or he even never knew about their existence at all!
A fascinating find and a true story!

I do not think the smock is an original.

The smock does not appear to be made of cotton duck, but rather rolled cotton (like denim). One of the close-ups of the collar shows the parallel lines characteristic of rolled cotton (also, cotton duck is not as porous or grainy as that material appears in the close-ups).

The smock is not to my liking either. The camouflagepattern seems all wrong, the material as well.

Smock is a "fake" - likely made post-war for some re-enactors. There are plenty of them out there.vv Smile

This same smock was discussed on another forum with the same conclusion - reproduction, or if offered for sale as authentic - a FAKE!!!

Your right, That is if you have spare $15,000 .00 US in the back pocket. Now a days , I just watch. I can not afford the prices anymore. It is insane, sad to see a hobby turn into a business or some say high end investment. That is why the next generation is so hesitant to pursue the hobby. TOO high prices and TOO many well made fakes.

Thanks Joe
