I have my doubts if this cover is real. First, the cover looks brand-new and the construction is totally different from the German counterpart. I am no expert in Italian covers, but the RBN number is very suspicious.

It seem to me that the camo pattern is post-war

Hi militarymania,
This helmet cover is a bad copy.

Here is mine to compare.
No Rbnr.

Possibly not a copy. Both patterns of camo pictured were issued in WWII. The first cover could be a RSI period issue as these covers have several different patterns of sewing.

Although, the Rbn does seem suspicious.

Best regards.

Here is a picture of a SD German Army helmet I bought directly from a vet in the 70s. Sold it to a friend in the late 70s and got it back a few years ago. The guy was in the invasion of Southern France. Appears to a a field made job with drawstring bottom. This is a real one.
