Hi guys - seem to have developed a problem with the pc. When I run the cursor over the 'favorites' icons, they seem to fragment and appear partially on the other side of the screen. The more I run the cursor around, the more fragments I get. Also, the blue bar at the top of the screen seems to be fragmented as well.
Any ideas??

Thanks and regards
Russell

Also noticed the address bar icons are fragmenting as well, and some desktop icons as well. I've run a virus scan and that didn't pick up anything.

Russell

That is very strange! This is a new one for me! Well, my first thought is that it's a video driver issue - how long has this been going on and can you remember it starting after installing a program or a system crash, etc?

Aaron

Aaron - the last thing I installed was an HP Photosmart 3110 at xmas, but it has only just started doing this. The system hasn't crashed at all - and guess what - today it isn't doing it! Intermittent, like Mark says.

I'll check for the latest driver downloads.

Thanks and regards
Russell

Ok - it's doing it again and getting worse...
I've been trying to find the correct drivers for my system but could do with some help.

I'm running Windows XP Professional with an ATI Radeon9800PRO graphics card, 128mb DDR. I've been to the ATI site but can't find the correct drivers that match my system and card. Any thoughts?

This is the location of the driver and related software:

https://support.ati.com/ics/support/default.asp?deptID=...nowledge&folderID=27

Catalyst 6.2 is a bundle and includes the driver, Mulimedia Center, and Hydravision. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE read the release notes and prerequisites before installing it as there is important information there.

Aaron

Aaron - thanks for the info. I've now found out that the graphics card is faulty and is causing the fragmenting problems, so I need to get another card. Just running the on-board graphics for the moment, so no more gaming for awhile.

Thanks for your help - I appreciate it.

Regards
Russell
