I wish I had collected these long ago when maybe a little more plentiful. This is a grouping I have been collecting for aprox. 4 years. Most are pre ww2 and only one fishing that I have seen. Hope some of you forum members have some to show for would love to see the ones I may not have. Thanks, James

James,

Without a doubt some first rate goodies you have there! I've never seen a yellow "fuzzie"
before and many of the other patterns look to be quite rare, too.

That 'grandfather' is the icing on the cake! Big Grin I'll see if I can add a few more
later ...

Best!

Bill

Gents,

A few more nice fuzzies for your ponderations ... Big Grin These are from Baz's
a special 'goodie-box,' items that I use to dress-up his displays. A whole nother collecting field in and of itself. Wink

James - here's one of my personal favorites, a large old fuzzy from either a Schlarafia club or some kind of a crazy outfit that had something to do with Karnival? I'd bet on the former do to the owl motif.

The best part of it is the club's name, "Klimperkasten." This word or meaning could be interpreted in a few different, humorous ways. As likened to an automobile or machine it could be said, a 'rattle-trap' or 'bucket o'bolts,' or something along those lines. As the name of an intellectual's club, it's pretty funny. Big Grin

The piece is dated 1902, for the club's 30th anniversary, a sort of fraternity for professional's who liked to drink, smoke and get out of the house and clown around. (as akin to the Harvard Lampoon) A zany bunch of smart loons, heh... Smile

Gentlemen, without further ado, I give you, fuzzies ...

Best!

B~

James

There's me thinking I'm the only one who's collecting these fuzzies, you have certainly built up a great collection in such a short time, I've got most of mine from Germany over the last few years, I used to be able to pick them up for a few dollars but as with a lot of items these have rocketed in price in the last year or so, now they reach 30 Euro in excess of $50 for some of them. I think I only have one fishing one as well, they are very difficult to find. Nice to see somebody else appreciate them.

Cheers

Gary
