Sounds like everyone had a great time at the show. Lets see some daggers everyone picked up at the show. I picked up a mint condition looks like it was just made early Eickhorn army with the oval pattern logo.It also came with mint hangers and a wool storage bag. Very happy with this dagger. All i need now is an early bag and Control tag. Lets see some other daggers.

You need to get that fingerprint off the blade(4th pic. down) if you want to keep it in great condition.

Me neither Johnny, must have renwaxed it off!If it is the bottom right of the pic I think that is crossgraining. That really is a very tidy dagger, lovely crossgrain. Ivan.

Upon further review: It's a fingerprint but apparentely it's a reflection of your finger on the blade! Look closly it Picture 4 again! It's probably good enough for the FBI to ID. you. Jim

Nope: Look directly where the finger is reflected on the blade and you'll see the whorls in the print. I doubt if these whorls are crossgraining since they begin and end with the finger reflection. Boy this is a slow Sunday afternoon!! Jim

Thanks for the compliments guys. There is no finger prints on this blade i can promise that. Does anyone know where i could find an early Control tag and a early Eickhorn bag. I can't take my eyes off this dagger its just perfect.

Spencer: Glad to know it's just a reflection. Try Tom Johnson for the control tag and bag as he often has these types of items for sale on his site. Jim

HEY JIM
Thanks for the info. he didn't have a control tag and the bags he had were later bags not the early bag with the Oval trade mark on the front. Thanks for the heads up

Wow! What a piece!! Great find, I dont think I`ve ever seen one in that condition before?? Especially not one with the double oval. Considering that these were the first to be made, this one obviously lay in the cupboard since early 35? Congrats! Dion
