Anyone up on whats the what on US marked anchors?
I picked up a kedge type 100 lb US marked anchor on friday way cheap so not out much. have some photos but the big photo was shot last night in the shop with a flash. Lenght is around 4 foot long.

I had wondered if the were from a LST but seems to light weight for that use one fellow wondered if they were from a LCM, medium sized craft they were approx 50' so that seems to fall into the realm of use for the weight here. The fellow was a cold war non combat navy guy. no other story.

Very cool piece~!
I have seen guys work these into garden/yard centerpieces, or mount them at the base of a flagpole.
One thing every Navy collector shouldn't be without!
