Here's a Stahlhelm visor cap acquired recently. Ca. 1920's it goes well with the tunic I posted. Comments or input appreciated, thanks!

Interior, visor is ersatz leather like a crusher cap. Sweatband(showing repairs) is leather with a silk cord running through it that ties in a bow at the rear seam.

RGD 51,

the a little bit brown looking Paspol and "Besatzband", has it its original colour or has it changed over the times from "reseda-green" to brown?

The small eagle was first added to the caps after January 1933, when Hitler became Reichskanzler. A nice cap, I own a similar one.

Regards

Kolibri

The cap band and piping match perfectly...a strange brownish gray...I'm unfamiliar with it. Thanks for your post can you post shots of yours?

Robert
