Hello,
Nice eagle. Too bad about the moths/trimming. GemPo eagles are very hard to find. Particularly named examples.

Bernd,
The following question was posed to me by another collector: How would a Gemeindepolizei could be found in Aachen, a city with a police presidency?
Are you sure the embroidery isnt carmine for FSP of Aachen? How else can you explain Aachen?
Wouldnt Aachen be embroidered in green, rural areas in the district of Aachen in orange but towns/cities in the Aachen district would have their own reflective names?

Dave : The color on this eagle agrees a 100% with other " Gemeinden " eagles I have on and off uniforms . I can not guess what district rules for different police services the might have had in 1933 ,or before, and thereafter in Aachen .

Hello,
I can offer that I have feuerwehr eagles on blue that are embroidered in the carmine red of the Gemeindenpolizei rather than the pinkish carmine that would be correct. Not saying that that is the case here, but a lot of these makers didn't seem to care much about using the correct "shade" of carmine when putting these things out.
