Vern: I think "DRGM" (Deutsches Reichsgebrauchsmuster) was never used after 1945. But i'm not sure.

The maker is Ernst Gerling K.G. Stahlwarenfabrik. They were in production from 1902 to 1975, pirmarily produced pocket knives, hunting knives, and razors. It could be pre-1945.
