Thanks to a another forum member, this one just came to me out of the woodwork, never been in a collection. Just s fantastic example of a textbook M40 SD SS Q Untouched. There is even remants of camo string still attached to the liner spring. You all know I am pretty much a Camo guy this should make some good "trading" material. This is one of the best SS helmets I have ever owned.

Indisputably original. Considering what great difficulty many collectors have identifying artificial distress, this helmet should be scrutinized for it's patina.

A great combat veteran SS helmet...and a quintessential "Q" example through and through. Nice find, Matt. You shouldn't have any trouble whatsoever trading that one into another camo for your collection.
