IT WOULD SIMPLIFY THINGS IF YOU ROTATED YOUR PICTURE SO THE KANJI DO NOT HAVE TO BE READ SIDEWAYS. THEY READ DOWN FROM THE CUTTING EDGE. FROM WHAT I CAN SEE, THE SMITH APPEARS TO BE MICHIHIRO OF OSHU, A MID 18TH CENTURY SWORDSMITH OF LITTLE REKNOWN.
