I was lucky and got my mother in law`s JM badge which she wore during the TR times in Posen
I have not seen such a badge before and wonder if they are rare and if there is any collectors interest in them and if possible does anyone know what value they are so I know how big a hug I have to give her ?

Can't give you a price, but the issue number on the back should give you an idea as to rarity. Angolia states a total of 58,000 were issued, but he seems to be wrong.

I've always liked them, but BDM stuff doesn't seem as collectable as some other III Reich items.

Cheers,

Stephen

WHEN THEY SHOW UP 200.00 seems to be the norm . By the way the colour of the ribbon can differ by district it was issued in. There where two levels both being rare the higher level virtually impossible to find as not many where ever issued.

Lanner ........ Grear looking pin & the family history makes it even more SPECIAL!

You could make a nice Grouping of BDM Items - and your Pin would be the centerpiece. Txs, Dave/dblmed
