Does anyone knows what is happening with the availability and price development of the HJ leader dagger? I haven't seen one for sale in ages at any of the online dealer sites.. has the marked dried up?

The marked for the HJ leader is not dried up Ekko. Collectors are in "High" mode when they consider a Hj leader. Many fakes daggers around out there. If i was you , i have purchased from a autorized dealer with guarantie,- if you buy one in the future. Thats my advice. The HJ Leader's Dagger is one of the more difficult to find in exceptional condition. With the large number of fakes, coupled with the limited manufacturers (Eickhorn and Horster) and the usual poor quality of the plated fittings, it is most difficult to find a super conditioned one.
Also, there are a few variations that can be considered as very rare when buying, so the common variety Horster is the most common and lowest priced of this dagger.
Long underrated by the number of reproductions causing the price to be depressed, this dagger is still a great buy when you can find a choice one in my opinion.
When you examine enough originals, you will become educated enough to buy one on your own.
