I just found and bought a silver ring with the Polish national emblem eagle on the face I think it is in the art deco style from around the 1930's or so a very handsome ring my question is the hallmarks/cartouch s are on the outside 2 of them on the bottom of the ring which I feel detracts from the look of this ring my question is why are they stamped on the outside and is their any other European countries that did this Thanks for the help

There were Polish nationalistic rings made, some very nice styles. Some simple with usually just the Red & White colors of Poland and the Crowned Eagle. No crowned eagle and its postwar..
Poland usually did stamp their content / maker marks on the outside rear of the band. Other countries that sometimes marked outside were other East European and Baltic countries.
