ConfusedI gang,I hope every one is haveing a great Holiday.I mostly collect SA daggers but i have a chance to pick up a 2nd model Paul Weyersberg & Co. Luft. The dagger looks original except for the blade. The makers logo and the shaft under the handle don't look right to me. I'll send the pix as soon as the batts. on the camera are charged. Thanks Dutchman.

Parts look original but I dont like the look of the tang appears some ground the crap out of it perhaps because they swapped the grip? Who knows you can do better.

Hi Dutchman
Interesting dagger, I just got one of these in direct from the vet's family. It's a inspected piece too. The grip is the exact same, so are the scabbard bands. The wire looks like springy copper rather than the silver usually encountered. The tang is heavily ground as well. I have no doubt about it's originality. I suspect the grip on your is original. This is mine http://lakesidetrader.com/pics/LU-84d.jpg
Good luck with it what ever you decide.
Paul
