Not even close, not to mention the funky looking maker mark and etch mismatch. That style dedication is often seen on repros. At very best I would request more detail pics, but nothing about it looks good to me...

It's not real and as was stated before "not even close."

Yea, Wish they were all this easy. This particular inscription has been around for years and years with many sold by major dealers as real. It wasn't because they were out and out crooks but because they just flat didn't know.

This auction belongs to a GDC member.

Maybe he would care to comment?

Says item location "Lone Star State" Texas, who do we know from Texas? IS this 3FL? Why is it on Ebay UK then? Lots of things stink about this one! Bid it up to $10,000, let the auction end, then email Ebay about the "offensive listing". They will pull it EVEN THOUGH the auction is completed. He will still get charged the final value fee. Trust me, it happened to me once. Sure you get the listing fees back, but you are screwed on the final value fee! He can't leave negative feedback on you then either! Big Grin Big Grin (Disclaimer: I'm not suggesting someone actually do it, just what could/would happen)

I will just never understand why people waste good money on this type of item on E-bay. I know once in a while someone gets a great deal but how about all the ones that get royaly screwed buying through them? It's Ok for Beany Babies or books but not this stuff.

Nats- Ok, now I understand why it looked like Ebay UK. I guess I have never accessed Ebay from outside the US. Makes sense to me now.

Still, if this is who I think it is, he used us all to learn about these daggers, and how we spot fakes so he could (try) to make more convincing fakes to scam people with! Mad Mad Good thing he is not very good at it! The more I think about it, my idea above sounds better and better... Big Grin Big Grin Wink
