Hello,
Last week I was offered a KM frock coat. I got some pictures and to my opinion it's original, but it's easy to make a mistake nowadays with all the reproductions. So please give your opinion on this coat.......

Hi, While it is indeed a very impressive looking 'frock', I don't see how one could make a determination of originality by these scans alone. I myself consider navy stuff as this quite rare and not had the opportunity to examine very many over many years of collecting. IMO all the insignia looks very good but, as to when it was applied, is it original to the coat, etc... will take a more thorough examination. I'll bet this 'rig' ain't going cheap.

Mike Dalton I collect KM as well as many other German organisations, and even from these limited pictures I know that this tunic is real, the only thing that may have been added to this set is the engineers sleave patch, but is that a bad thing? Not realy.
