The 2nd model NSKK Crash Helmet! What a great piece of headgear Smile I was looking for one at MAX 2007, but couldn't find it. I was lucky this week-end.

Stephane:

Wonderful items.

And they are even better looking if you would have been lucky enough, like I was, to hold them in hand.

Paul: Very beautiful dagger. A twin of mine. As for Pat, he did help me pick up that one.

Bonjour Guymauve,

J'espère que vous allez bien. Je suis francophone aussi mais je viens du Canada.

I tried to take pictures of the internal markings, but my camera died on me. Here is the only picture I managed to take. There is also a unit marking. It says Motor Brigade something. I can't make it out for now, but I will post more pictures this week.

I managed to take a few pictures of the faint unit markings on my helmet. I manipulated the photos to make the markings more readable. I believe it says Motor Brigade Franken. I do not know what the four big letters on top mean. Would anyone know? A big thank you! Smile

Cool Stéphane, it seems that this NSKK helmet belonged to someone stationed in Alsace (France).

Wouldn't "Franken" Stand for Frankenwald or Frankonia which is in North Eastern Bavaria?

It just struck me! The four big letters on top, I think they simply read N.S.K.K.!

Stephane, the large letters are 'NSKK' - National-Sozialistisches Kraftfahr-Korps.
