Why the discrimination against RZM SA's? If you dont collect the RZM SA's, do you have SS RZM's in your collection? What's the difference?

I think the moderator of this forum, Mike McAlvanah, summed it up when he coined RZM Sa's as "cowpies". Now mind you, I have the highest respect for Mike even though he probably is infected with the ever pervasive "I am GOD" physician syndrome. Nonetheless, some of my best friends are RZM's... I might even allow my daughter to date one.

After a moment to reflect... that was a cheapshot and I apologize. Wife diagnosed with leukemia today and any doctor was fair game considering how she was treated. Too much beer doesn't help. I'll be better tomorrow... As far as RZM's go... they are no less collectible but do suffer from corrosion and the workmanship is not as good as the early daggers.

I have only one RZM SA, but I'll keep it forever. It was bought on the one of the best days in my life, it's made in my local area (no, I don't come from Solingen ) and it's condition is great. I don't mind having few interesting transitionals, but the early ones with their selection of cool logos are what I love. Having both feet on the ground, I don't think about getting all the makers, so I try to gather my favourites in best condition available, and I enjoy much more looking at my beautiful HAENEL or HACO, than at some "10 on McSAAR" with boring, meaningless logo and grip like 30 others makers (from the same local subcontractor producing the grips for every "cottage factory" in the area). With the SS it's a different story. I look basically for the early ones, but when I find a nice RZM, I keep it.

Apology accepted- I'm sorry to hear about your wife's illness- I hope she will be cured. Incidentally, I do own one RZM SA-the first dagger I ever obtained in 1972- and I believe I also own 2 transitionals just to keep the collection varied-Mike

I ask because I am thinking of adding a new RZM 7/36 to my collection. From the pictures it is in exceptional condition with NO lifting. I have an Unissued Puma that is in spectacular condition. What about SS RZM's people collect those and the plating lifts on those too?
Eventually all the mint MM SA's will be gonoe and all that will be left are Mint SA's...then what?
Sorry to hear about your wife. I hope everything works out.
