Swordfish, that looks great, I like the color matching with the "corncob" (older members know this phrase) Great work!

Thanks Paul. I use this name on almost every other forum, association, etc. It's fitting considering what my collecting tastes are. I figured I need to update my GDC handle to reflect that and keep in tune with the other forums. Alos, I figured, I needed a new crisp avatar shield. A little cut and past, a little MS paint, MS picture Fax viewer, and boom. Here it is. Not much effort and certainly didn't require the use of photoshop or other technical manipulation programs. Can use your basic Windows applications.

Paul, it's not as fancy as yours. Nobodys really is. You've got the full graphics, moving custome avatar. It's sweet and I think yours has been considered one of the best avatars on GDC of all time. You've had that one for a number of years now. I also like Degens avatar, of the cat that switches side from the SS man to allied soldier. I think it may be Benny Hill. Not sure.

I'm always fishin for a good sword.

Thanks Blue. Yep, I belive that's him. My memory continues to degenerate, even at my tender age...as evidenced by the gramatical errors in my posts.

swordfish, here was a little something I found, and tried to put together for you. I was just playing around, and came up with this.........I hope this captures the thrill of the catch.

now if I can just get the corncob to show when the fish hits the water, and edit the black lines............. I love doing this stuff!

hello matt,
a avatar is either a still photo, or a animation that a forum member puts with his member name on a web forum.
if you are looking for something specific, let me know here, and I will try my best to make for you or anyone else for that matter.

Paul

for some reason I cannot use the reply tab, so I am using the "quick reply" lets see what happens.

Hi Paul,
That's pretty rockin'. How can it be saved? It seems to only allow saving as HTML. If registered with imageshack can it be saved? Or does the file need to be downloaded?

Thanks,
T
