Ever seen A frog like this before? It looks like it has been on the dagger forever and cant be easily removed. Also any idea on when this dagger was made?

Hi Brian, You have an old Alcoso hirschf�nger from around the turn of the century (1900-1920), I would say the frog is original to the piece and was specially made for it, seems like it is made to hold it at the right angle when wearing.

I suspect this is a bayonet frog. Try posting it on the Bayonet forum.
