Often its the small items I get the most kick out of...the small things the Landser would have carried with him into the field..to bring home a bit closer.

Close up..nothing really rare ..but sure not so easy to find in good shape...and it took some searching to put the these together..as they should be! M. Hohner also published the Harmonica book..along with being the manufacturer of the Harmonica itself. Im sure at one point in time both sat side by side for sale.

The cigarette case is very unusual...has a nice simulated leather exterior..opens to reveal a high gloss chrome metal/mirror..as well as the top corner twists off to reveal a flask..certainly for some "spirits" as well as room for his cigarettes! Case is period piece.marked "DRGM"

Close up of very delicate frame..silver content "900" marked on reverse..officer has a nice crusher cap and nicely decorated..certainly could have fit into his upper pocket..or simply his kit/trunk to remind him of family at home.

Hello Scott,

Just these small items gives an impression how big our collecting area can be.
Nice items (esp. to complete a diorama)

regards,

Thanks Thijs.as the larger stuff becomes more and more "unaffordable" the smaller items which I've always enjoyed are even more enjoyable! I'd love to put together a nice display..diorama..but thats a few years down the road at least! One day though!
