hi guys i am not sure i am posting in the right place no doubt someone will tell if i am.... i am curious if anyone else has seen any pottery that was made in jersey? i know that the germans made it to jersey but wasnt aware they took over anything or produced anything from there......any help is appreciated

Could it have been produced by the Jersey company prior to the war, perhaps late thirties? I'd say from your photo it looks legit, though, highly unusual. After all, you couldn't swing a dead cat in Germany without hitting some kind of porcelain manufacturer! Big Grin One of the more interesting pieces of tableware I've seen in a while.

It'd be interesting to do a background check on J. Edwards & Sons, are they by chance still operating today? That's a very neat little unit,

It certainly is a strange peice for sure! its weird in the fact that the germans were making pottery under what sounds like an engish mans name Eek i have tried to find out any info about j edwards and sons but i have had no joy at all i will keep trying but i guess we will never know,thanks for your response
