Slaskman, generally the parts of the hangers we see here in photographs do not look bad. The combination clip with the short chain looks ok which normally is a very good sign for the complete hanger. The straps seem to show earing signs. Although I do not totally like the somehow rough appearance on the obverse and reverse of the buckles.
There are a lot of different copies and part pieces of those navy hangers around. I would highly recomend a careful in hand inspection of each of those hangers done by an experienced collector.
If you dont mind I would transfer this thread to the proper accouterment section of the forum where you might get more comments.

I have it my hand and can add more piqs if needed. Experienced collectors are hard to find there I come from (Sweden). There are only a handfull of the real good ones and they have probably joined this forum. If you can move it to the Accoutrements Forum its fine. (I didnt know that word until today) Wink

These hangers show considerable wear and fraying IMO. They look original to me from what I can see. The rough appearance of the backs of the lion head fittings suggest to me that the base metal is "pot metal" and the gilt is "lifting" a bit. Original but not worth a "premium" price IMO.
