I aquired this ring a while back and was wondering what it is and what its value is. It is made of aluminum and it seem the crown has moved slightly but it is intact with a pin going all the way through to the back so I was not so willing to try and move it back to being flush and even. So what do you guys think?

Hello Adam. Can we say a fieldmade ring? At the trenches by soldiers themselves....I know there are many steps in authentic "trench" : rings were also made in prison camps, hospitals , by local people in and after the war(1918). Even made by Americans who got the war stuff delivered from dealers, who collected it from the warfield.
A aquintance of mine, an elderly German ww1 collector, who has literally has his house full of ww1 stuff, told me that the soldiers had their own aluminium smelting-works and tools on the field there , for making technique replacements. They also used it for making alu rings.
Cheers,
Benten

Adam, these rings are around. Don't know what the crown is from. Maybe the guys in the Imperial forum could tell you if its from a button or from some other insignia..
Heres a link to ringmans example. Very close to yours... , G.
