Bernd,

This eagle is a problem for me. It is made like some reproductions I have seen that have the lowered (droopy) wing tips that are not straight across the top of the wings. The legs are also distinctive in the way they are embroidered.

While the embroidery is good, there are too many distinctive features for me to be comfortable with this particular eagle. Here is an acknowledged fake with the same wings and legs.

George

George :"And here is the rest of the story!" The eagle is also much larger than the normal sleeve eagle . Soo, I believe it was never intended to be a sleeve eagle --but was stitched in a larger size to be used on a display or car standart or table flag standart, etc. Regards, Bernd.
