Looks to be 1898 dress bayonet, possibly 1st model with 1 piece grips. If 2 piece it is the new model. In any event it is in beautiful condition for its age.

Thanks for the info. The seller wants $275. Is that reasonable?

About the right price for a first model with one piece grips in nice condition like this one.

Personally, I think you should wait, as these can be found, both with one and two piece grips, for around $200 in this condition. In fact, I know where there is one now. Unlike issued S98s, the one piece grip dress models are just as frequently found as the two piece, if not more so.
