I just purchased a 1936 model dagger. It has
m/7/14 and under that 1936. is does not have a chained scabbard but a painted scabbard. the blade is very nice. The scabbard has the complete belt hanger, leather with the clip. Also on the front of the lower crossguard is a stamped 283283. the fittings are nickel silver. there is a name engraved on the blade, bantleon. is the a persons name or the name of a city.

Thanks

Sounds like a Model 1933 Rzm marked dagger with a 1936 date. Would need pictures to help much.

Thanks, Blademan

I see no problems. The M7/14 1936 trademark is a known one and the rest of the dagger looks evenly conditioned.

Nice catch !

Yeah, they both look nice from what I can see and the hanger is nice as well.

That's one big belt loop on that hanger. First one I've seen with two rivets.

There is no uniformity whatsoever to belt loops.

thanks so much for your help in putting the photo's on the forum. The one with the large loop, is the one that came straight form Germany, it is from the son of the German soldier. It came from a little village outside of Hanover.

Thanks, Blademan
