Thought you guys might like to see this WSS tunic that I added to my collection this week. Its an HBT for an artillery SS-Obersturmfuhrer. It has a flatwire officer's arm eagle and a bullion stitched, officer's runes tab. Details can also be found on Pages 693 and 694 of Beaver's 'Uniforms of the Waffen SS'.

Is that the DR one that PvL had? (and Mike Cessford/Assoro before that, and Peter Whamond before that?) If so, it is a beautiful piece, totally authentic in all respects. A very, very fine addition to your collection. Congratulations.

No this one has an em bevo eagle.Very toned as is the entire tunic.I like salty items, I like mint ones too but can never afford to have everything.

That appears to be a nice crusher but John will need about $11k in cash for that one.

Mere pocket change for some I suppose...anyone want an entire uniform ?God thes prices make me sick..no offense to Martin he has to follow market guidelines. Its just too sad and no fun to collect anymore  Ill settle for a nice early fake one at these prices.

I agree - those prices take a lot of the fun out of it.
You could probably pick up a nice SS officers sidecap for half that; still a lot of money though.
Doug - that is a very cool tunic. I think there are a lot of collectors admiring that one.

This one is (I believe) made from captured Soviet cloth. Your tunic is simply outstanding and I think it a classic.

Here is one made out of some type of canvas material that was at one time a tarp or tent or something, as there are clearly marks where it was taken apart in a few places.

Actually there are tons of Mickey Ds in Japan and I found it a lot tastier there.
Looking for DAK 1st or 2nd model Tunic in Large size.

Thanks Felix!The only thing about worn/aged items is the wear.I am very paranoid about preservation and once had a tunic that I literaly watched the bullion runic as it started to disintegrate from oxidizing.Im buying a glass display cabinet to keep out the moisture and other elements.Check out the wear on this tab. Kevin do they have summer weight mess dress tuxes?

Jpic; Yeah thats valid points you say! I too have worries about how bullion insignia will look 50 years from now!
How to stop processes of aging or atleast make it slower. Same goes for badges.
Otherwise they transmit the true combat feeling and the struggles these men went through!
