Hello all,
I hope this is not considered "bad form" but I am not looking for a rare luft so I thought I might let the forum in. Smile
In case you have not seen it, there is a 2nd model luft by JA Henkels on Manions. There are still 9 days left in the auction and last time I checked the price was around $350 w/ 2 bids.
Whittmanns book says that there is onlyu one other known by this maker and to me it looks OK. Good luck!

There are several 2nd Lufts by JA Henckels around. I owned 3 at one time myself and know there are more out there. Tom Wittmann's Luft book is very good, but many things have surfaced/changed since it was written.

I won't go into Manion's much except to say, Beware and know what you're looking at when you buy. Manion's has some good stuff and bad stuff. It's up to the individual to educate yourself before you take a Manion's plunge.

Attached is a pic of 2nd Lufts and minis that I owned (still own the Army by Henckels and mini Army by Henckels as well as another mini Army by Henckels not shown) at one time.

Even harder to find is an Army by JA Henckels.

PS I like your Security System. Seems to be on top of the situation.....

For future reference, is it considered a good thing to post a lead here? On one hand I am making the dagger available to other collectors who would be more interested in the item than I am, and if anyone wins it I woulld rather it be a forum member. On the other hand if a forum member was already bidding on the dagger, I may have made life more difficult for them. Is there a rule???

Some of the gentlemen on the forum regularly post such "alerts" when they spy something on one of the auctions. Some unaware of the auctions appreciate the heads-up, while those watching/bidding don't. No rules against doing it though unless it happens to be your stuff being auctioned. GDC has an area for sales.
