Anybody have any idea if these are worth anything and are there people that collect this type of knife? The lady said the blade is all there. SSman

Nice personalized M1917 trench knife made by LF&C, do you have the scabbord? These are getting tough to find in nice condition, theis one has some damage to the handle and is the blade straight? Sometimes the are a bit bent near the tip. As for value without the scabbord in this condition with the stampings about $150.00 would be a good ballpark shot maybe more but I think it's a good place to start. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the headsup Fritziii. I have not asked for a picture of the blade or if this has a scabbard because I have never studied this stuff so don't have any clue of its value? SSman

SSMan, here is an older pic but it will give you the idea of the scabbard. Many times they will be missing a rivet on the scabbard or maybe even the lower section of the scabbard. Bret Van Sant

Thanks for the pictures Bret. I asked the person that owns the knife if there ever was a scabbard and she said it belonged to her grandfather and since he has passed away she doesn't know if there ever was one? SSman

many of these you find are without scabbards, as they were made of rolled leather, and easily dried out, frequently breaking. It is also common for the tips on unprotected bladed to be bent or damaged in some way.
