And here is the cover....As I mentioned, there are many pages of shooting medals, sports badges, etc. This is all from microfilm, so the original is buried I suppose over in the Berlin Document Center. I have found some incredible stuff recently which gets me off the trail of SS number research, but I like to give back to forum members as well. Looking again at them I don't think that they are designs for tinnies, but non-portables or plaques of some sort. The heading at the top of the pages with the SS items says "Entwürfe für Plaketten" - Designs for plaques... Unfortunately the writing under that is too small for me to see. However on the pages with the "other" tinnies the heading is "Fest Abzeichen" which I would expect for what we call tinnies...

I wonder what they meant by "Natural size"? I don't see a scale.
I can't read the smaller print either. Something like "These designs are my own stylish property" then my eyes fuzzed over.

--dj--Joe I would say that "Natural size" means that the size of the image depicted in the catalogue would be the actual size of the plaque/badge.

We may be missing something since we can't make out the fine print under "Entwürfe für Plaketten" Natürliche Größe" as "Fest Abzeichen" Natürliche Größe" has no fine print, and they all appear similar (to me), in size on the pages.
I don't have many references that cover day/event badges so I doubt if a search from my end will find any of the pictured pieces from the four pages under "Entwürfe für Plaketten" Natürliche Größe".
I have one example of a small, cased non-portable event badge (not from the catalog), but I do not recall seeing many small non-portables. Does anyone have any (or similar) examples from the catalog to show?

You have a point there Joe. Non-portables tend to be of a similar size to each other, +/- a centimeter or two, so maybe the "natural size" just indicates that they would be of the size one would expect plaques to be & not the size of the image in the catalogue???
