Hi I see the cloth Officer service coats available for sale once in a rare while with various branches of service. I almost never see officer Heer leather coats offerred. What would be the consensus of opinion on values for an artillery Lt's grey leather coat. I know that they are more difficult to obtain as many had the boards removed and were worn post war. Any help is greatly appreciated. thanks and cheers, Ryan

Hi Ryan, I've owned a Lufty and a Heer...the Heer was feldgrau colored leather, the Luft a dark blue gray. Both coats were very heavy but extremely fine quality and quite stunning when properly tricked out on a form in the war room. 'Display' is the operative word about coats...most guys don't know what to do with them and they lose their novelty value when just put on a hanger and stuck on a rack.
