It's a copy... the blade is a well known fake. They are usually hilted to the Spanish grips with the high placed eagle with squared wing tips. The hilt on this one actually fits very well, the hilt MAY even be real, can't tell from these pics though...

Are the scabbard fittings magnetic or non-magnetic.From the pictures I see nothing that raises a red flag, but thats what pictures do.

Blade is a 100% copy. It's quite easy to recognize by the shape of first letter "M". It's no problem to see it even looking at not so perfect picture of the motto. Some parts may be authentic, ex-NSKK or SA.

Again it is hard too say with the photos...but I would say there are more things right with it than wrong.

I wouldn't be too quick to call it bad. I agree that it's not possible to tell much with these photos. This style "M" is found on some blades with the seven circle tang marking.

Sabazius, good picture of motto would be very helpful ( with distance between crossguard and motto visible). Let's see how it fits to the H E marked crossguards (usually seen with Eickhorns)...

I would like to see much better pictures or (better still) the dagger face-to-face before saying anything. At the moment all I see is inconclusive pictures.

I wouldn't regret it. "No returns" policy from the seller? Well... I still don't like the motto and the grip looks very new to me. 430 euros? That's quite "cheap" for "original" SS dagger

Come on guys... Skyman, you see that "M" in the motto does not match a Klitterman and Moog blade. This one has too many question.. You don't need that in a SS dagger. Do You? -wagner-
