Just bought a 1914 EK 1 and I am just a little bit more than excited about it. Its in the mail and working it's way to me. The thing that really excites me is that it is a three piece screwback with ALL three pieces silver hallmarked "800".
How rare is this, or have I just been leading a sheltered life???

A 3 piece screwback is moderately rare. 800 on the cross is rare. 800 on each plate is rare. If it is a Meybauer, it is the standard to have the plates marked for silver content. (I have one that is 800, 600, and 550 marked if you can believe it.) So the answer is, slightly sheltered- but it is definately more desireable to have these marks.
